Back in March, LVMH announced that Louis Vuitton was to venture into the world of beauty, spearheaded by the makeup artist extraordinaire Pat McGrath. Fast forward five months, and the launch of La Beauté Louis Vuitton is officially upon us.
This highly anticipated collaboration comes after more than 20 years of partnership between McGrath and the fashion house. Throughout their partnership, McGrath has created an array of iconic makeup looks for the runway shows. Under McGrath’s leadership, the La Beauté Louis Vuitton collection will reflect the same level of craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation. “The beauty universe is about so much more than just product, and what we are creating here will unlock a new level in luxury beauty,” shared McGrath.
The first wave of La Beauté Louis Vuitton products will include 55 lipsticks, 10 lip balms, and 8 eye shadow palettes. Each item will be housed inside sustainable and refillable packaging, with detailed nods to the house’s iconic emblems – like the Monogram flower. The LV Rouge lipstick comes in two finishes: a plush velvety matte and a satin. The natural wax formula boasts upcycled rose, jasmine and mimosa flower, infused with hyaluronic acid. To mark the launch, Louis Vuitton has designed a giant vanity trunk modeled after Pat McGrath’s backstage beauty salon.
