Michelle Yeoh made a delightful appearance in Los Angeles this past weekend, bringing along her beloved plush toy, Labubu! This Oscar-winning actress enjoyed a night out at the Hollywood Bowl, where she had the pleasure of watching her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo deliver an incredible performance in the iconic musical Jesus Christ Superstar.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Michelle shared her excitement, writing, “Celebrating the first birthday of the Hong Kong-born Panda Twins (which coincidentally is also my birthday) with Labubu at the Hollywood Bowl!! Huge thanks to @discoverhongkong and @kasinglung for sending over the best companions!” This joyful celebration highlighted her connection to her roots and the special moments she cherishes.
She further expressed her admiration, stating, “I was blown away by @cynthiaerivo and her amazing cast.” Michelle was not alone at this star-studded event; she attended alongside her fellow Wicked co-star, Jeff Goldblum!
On the following Monday (August 4), Michelle graced the red carpet for the premiere of her highly anticipated animated film Ne Zha II at AMC Century City. She made a striking entrance, accompanied by her talented co-stars Vincent Rodriguez III, Crystal Lee, Aleks Le, and Damien Haas. The excitement surrounding Ne Zha II is palpable, as the film has already amassed a staggering $2.1 billion globally and is set to reach U.S. theaters with an English dubbed version on August 22.
