You must have been hiding under a rock not to know that Jonathan Anderson now serves as creative director of Christian Dior. Ahead of his highly anticipated womenswear debut during Paris Fashion Week, the celebrated British designer drops his first official campaign as the helm of the fabled French fashion house. Anderson secured talents Greta Lee, Mia Goth, and Mickey Madison for the Christian Dior ‘Lady Dior’ handbag advertising campaign. The ladies each posed for the photographer David Sims, and ventured to the historic Pavillon de Musique de la Comtesse du Barry for the occasion. Throughout the light and airy campaign imagery, the ambassadors showcase an array of the iconic Lady Dior handbag.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“I love this campaign. Here is where Jonathan Anderson’s Dior shines. His use of flowers is delicate, sweet, and a little bit reminiscent of Raf Simons’ use of florals at Dior. I love those bags. They’re super cute and make me excited. In terms of world-building and imagery, it’s all working,” praised Norden.
“It actually makes me want to buy those bags. I like how cool and easy the campaign feels, but stiff fashion-y,” approved Kite.
“Love this, so inviting. Anderson definitely knows how to sell. All the ambassadors each hold their own and blend effortlessly into this concept,” enthused forum member alwaysademo.
Miyawaki was also very much a fan. “Beautiful and captivating, I must admit I was ready to hate JW’s direction. I love the composition, especially how everything exudes femininity,” they praised.
“This feels like a breath of fresh air in comparison to the stiffness and lifelessness of those tiresome and tedious Maria Grazia Chiuri campaigns,” voiced vogue28.
