‘Last Rites’ Memoir by Ozzy Osbourne Revealed

Although Ozzy Osbourne has wrapped up his live performance career, he still has compelling stories to share. The legendary Prince of Darkness is set to launch a new memoir titled Last Rites, which will be available on October 7.

This upcoming publication, Last Rites, represents Osbourne’s second venture into memoir writing, building on the success of his first book, I Am Ozzy, released in 2009. Readers can currently preorder this highly anticipated memoir. Below, you can view a sneak peek trailer that offers a glimpse into what to expect from this intriguing narrative.

The memoir promises to explore the myriad of health challenges Osbourne has confronted over the years, including his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis revealed in 2020, which ultimately led to his decision to retire from touring. Additionally, Last Rites will delve into the complexities of his tumultuous marriage with his wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne, the planning of the Back to the Beginning farewell concert, and various significant aspects of his rich life and illustrious career.

Unforgettable Tales Featuring Rock Legends: Bon Scott, John Bonham, and Lemmy

As a pivotal figure in the history of rock music, Osbourne has had encounters with nearly every major rock and metal artist imaginable. Consequently, Last Rites will include captivating anecdotes about his interactions with icons like Bon Scott, John Bonham, and Keith Moon, along with reflections on his poignant final moments with the late Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, who sadly passed away in 2015.

Reflecting on his extraordinary journey, Osbourne shared, “People often ask me, if you could relive your life knowing what you know now, would you change anything? My answer is a resounding no. If I had been clean and sober, I wouldn’t be the Ozzy you know today. If I had taken a more conventional path, I wouldn’t be who I am. Regardless of how it all ends, I have no regrets. I’ve traveled across the globe, experienced a wealth of moments, and engaged in both good and bad choices. However, at this moment, I’m not ready to leave this world.”

The announcement of Osbourne’s memoir, Last Rites, comes shortly after his triumphant farewell performance at the Back to the Beginning concert in his hometown of Birmingham, England. This star-studded event culminated in a memorable solo performance by Osbourne himself, alongside a reunion of the original lineup of Black Sabbath, further solidifying his legacy in the world of music.
