Following a public confrontation regarding allegations of spousal abuse made by her wife, Paris Campbell Grace, last week, Laura Jane Grace has officially canceled all remaining tour dates for 2025. In the wake of the emotional fallout from the public exchange between the singer and her spouse, there were early indications that Grace might withdraw from upcoming performances with the band Murder By Death. However, it has now been confirmed that her entire tour schedule for the year has been completely scrapped.
Laura Jane Grace’s Apology and Decision to Halt 2025 Touring Plans
In a heartfelt post shared over the weekend, Grace took the opportunity to express her sincere apologies to everyone affected by the recent turmoil. She stated, “Unfortunately, it has become apparent to me that at this time, continuing ahead with touring is neither realistic nor in good taste.” Grace emphasized the importance of her well-being by adding, “I’ll be taking the rest of the year off from the road to focus on personal growth and to get my life back on track.”
Grace extended her apologies to each of the bands that she was scheduled to tour with and highlighted the impact of her decision on her bandmates, who will also be sidelined for the remainder of the year due to her cancellation.
Additionally, she expressed regret to Polyvinyl Records, stating, “I’d like to apologize to @polyvinylrecords for my personal life royally messing up this album release. I still believe it’s a great record that deserves to be heard.”
The album in question is Adventure Club, the latest release from Laura Jane Grace in the Trauma Tropes, which features contributions from her wife, Paris Campbell Grace. Below is Grace’s full statement regarding the tour cancellations:
Unfortunately, it has become apparent to me that at this time continuing ahead with touring is neither realistic nor in good taste.

Understanding the Turmoil Between Laura Jane Grace and Paris Campbell Grace
Beginning on July 17, Paris Campbell Grace reshared a post from Laura Jane Grace on Threads that expressed, “I feel unsafe.” Paris then commented on this post, making allegations against Laura Jane for using her platform to harm her. She elaborated on the declining state of their relationship, recounting how they initially met and how their bond has deteriorated, ultimately revealing that she too felt unsafe in her relationship with Laura Jane.
In response to these serious allegations, Laura Jane released her first public statement addressing the situation. In her statement, she took responsibility for her actions, saying, “I would like to acknowledge my faults and take responsibility for my mistakes. Anyone who has been following this can see that our relationship has been toxic and codependent from the beginning. It was impulsive of me to marry so quickly, and I made numerous poor decisions that I should have known better about. My mistakes have affected my child, my band, and my community. I fully accept accountability for my actions and sincerely apologize.”
However, her post also included a 19-slide Instagram testimonial from a mutual friend, which seemed to favor Laura Jane Grace while portraying Paris Campbell Grace as more of an instigator in their conflicts.

Paris later disclosed that both parties were striving for an agreement to refrain from publicly discussing one another when Laura Jane’s statement surfaced. Following this, she returned to social media, expressing that she “felt attacked” and believed that false information had been disseminated about her.
Both Laura Jane and Paris have reportedly filed for divorce after marrying in December 2023. The couple first met in November 2023, got engaged just a week later, and held a wedding ceremony in Las Vegas on December 18, 2023.
