LEGO Fallout Is What I’ve Always Wanted, Not Fallout 5

With Fallout 5 still years from actually releasing, fans are finding other ways to keep themselves busy. Some are returning to Fallout 4 and stuffing it full of mods to keep things fresh. Others are enjoying Amazon’s excellent Fallout TV series. Others still are obsessing over the idea that Fallout 3 might get a remake before the end of the year.

There are lots of ways to take your mind off Fallout 5, certainly. But one of the most impressive I’ve seen so far is absolutely the creation of LEGO-themed Fallout sets that look so awesome I’d happily wait even longer for Fallout 5 if it meant these sets became an actual reality.

LEGO Fallout Looks Genuinely RAD

That was a pun, I’m not trying to be cool

To be very clear, this Fallout LEGO set is not an official set at all. If you are looking for official Fallout merch to scratch that LEGO itch, there’s actually a pretty sweet MEGA Bloks set that lets you build a Red Rocket Truck Stop from Fallout 4. But I’m a purist and I favor LEGO, so it’s the fan-made efforts that really do it for me. Over on Reddit, Icy-Jeweler-9744 created and shared a LEGO set based on one of Fallout 4‘s earliest missions. I’m sure you remember heading to Concord, climbing into a suit of Power Armor and taking on a Deathclaw within the first hour of the game. Incredible stuff. You also meet Preston Garvey for the first time and regard him as a pretty swell dude before his unhealthy obsession with settlements becomes apparent. What’s really cool about this set is that it’s literally just the tip of it. Our dedicated fan has also created a full Vault-Tec Vault that lives underneath Concord, and the level of detail is genuinely staggering.

An Official Release Isn’t Impossible

We have to keep dreaming

While an official LEGO Fallout set hasn’t been confirmed (I really cannot stress that enough), stranger things have happened. We now live in a world where The Legend of Zelda and Pokémon have multiple LEGO sets, which would have been unheard of even five or ten years ago.

What I’m saying is, nothing is impossible when it comes to LEGO, and it never hurts to dream, especially when it comes to Fallout. Just maybe think about putting away some money for a potential set like this now, because if there’s one thing we can all count on in these turbulent times, it’s that LEGO ain’t getting any cheaper.
