Life of a Showgirl: Taylor Swift Album Release Date and Tracks

All Swiftie eyes were glued to Taylor Swift‘s social media platforms on Wednesday (Aug. 13), as the acclaimed pop star finally unveiled exciting details about her highly anticipated new album, The Life of a Showgirl, after several days of teasing her devoted fans.

As shared by the pop superstar on Instagram, her 12th studio LP is set to launch on Oct. 3, featuring an exciting collaboration with former Eras Tour opener Sabrina Carpenter on the captivating title track. Remarkably, the only producers credited on this album are Max Martin and Shellback, the talented duo behind some of Swift’s most significant hits from 1989 and Reputation.

In addition to revealing the release date, Swift showcased the album cover art — a dazzling image of the singer adorned in shimmering netting, gazing intently into the camera lens — along with the full track list. The album opens with an intriguing song titled “The Fate of Ophelia,” followed by tracks like “Elizabeth Taylor,” “Opalite,” “Father Figure,” “Cancelled!” and many more, promising a rich listening experience for fans.

“And, baby, that’s show business for you,” Swift playfully expressed in her Instagram caption, showcasing her signature wit and charm.

The announcement coincided with the conclusion of a countdown on the musician’s website, as well as her guest appearance on an episode of boyfriend Travis Kelce’s podcast, New Heights. This episode premiered just two days after the Kelce brothers hinted at Swift’s appearance by sharing a mysterious photo featuring a blacked-out silhouette against a glittery orange backdrop, creating buzz among fans.

“92%ers, we’re coming back early for a special episode with a VERY special guest,” they teased on social media Monday (Aug. 11). At precisely 12:12 a.m. ET the following morning, Swift confirmed the exciting news of her upcoming album through a New Heights teaser video shared on social networks, where she revealed the LP’s title. “So I wanted to show you something,” she stated in the clip, holding a blurred-out copy of her new album while a beaming Travis stood beside her. “This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl.”

The Life of a Showgirl will represent Swift’s first full-length studio album since the release of The Tortured Poets Department in 2024, which impressively spent 17 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, highlighting her continued dominance in the music industry.
