Lindsay Lohan is gearing up to take on a pivotal role as both the star and executive producer of the highly anticipated Hulu drama series, Count My Lies. This series is inspired by the novel of the same name written by Sophie Stava, and it represents Lohan’s return to television in a lead capacity for the first time. The plot centers around Sloane Caraway, a compulsive liar who cunningly secures a position as a nanny for the affluent couple, Violet and Jay Lockhart. In this exciting new role, Lohan is expected to portray Violet, while specific details about the rest of the cast remain undisclosed.
The development of this series is in the capable hands of This Is Us showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who are committed to exploring the intricate psychology behind deception. As Sloane navigates her role in the Lockhart household, she will gradually uncover the hidden secrets that lie within. This project marks the third collaboration between Aptaker and Berger with Hulu, following their successful works, Love, Victor and the short-lived sitcom, How I Met Your Father.
News of Lohan’s new series comes just before the release of Walt Disney Studios’ upcoming sequel, Freaky Friday, titled Freakier Friday, where she will reprise her beloved role as Anna Coleman. The film features an impressive cast, including Jamie Lee Curtis as Anna’s mother, Tess, and Julia Butters as Anna’s daughter, Harper. Additionally, Lohan recently appeared in the 2024 Netflix holiday movie, Our Little Secret, alongside Ian Harding from Pretty Little Liars.
