Love Story’s Sarah Pidgeon Discusses JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette

As he expressed, “They both wanted to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome. I think that just radiated from them and people couldn’t get enough.”

Meanwhile, Sarah found it particularly intriguing to briefly embody Carolyn before her encounter with JFK Jr. in the early 1990s.

“It was truly wonderful to have a few days at the beginning to be—this young woman with all of her anonymity living in this studio apartment in New York City, enjoying the best job in the world at Calvin Klein,” Sarah reflected. “Experiencing her in her environment, which is messy yet she can wear these clothes and look so effortless while navigating the city to get to Calvin Klein and begin climbing this ladder. It was a nice sort of unexpected place to start.”

Of course, Sarah also had plenty of fun reimagining Carolyn and JFK Jr.’s enchanting 1996 wedding, adding, “Weddings are super fun so shooting a wedding, naturally, is a blast as well.”

Love Story premieres Feb. 12 at 9 p.m. ET on FX and Hulu. Keep reading for more shows to add to your watch list…
