In a recent interview with ComingSoon, Lukas Haas reflected on the extraordinary opportunity to collaborate with Christopher Nolan during the filming of Inception, which took place in an array of stunning global locations. The production not only allowed him to showcase his acting talent but also provided a unique travel experience.
“That was incredible. What a cool experience. Obviously, working with Chris was incredible. He’s just one of the best directors out there,” he stated enthusiastically. “But it was also just a cool experience because we were traveling. That little bit of work that I did in the movie was filmed in various locations, including Tokyo, London, parts of Morocco, and a bit in LA. It was just amazing. You never get to travel like that while working on an outstanding film simultaneously. It was a truly spectacular experience for sure.”
Furthermore, Haas entertained fans with a delightful behind-the-scenes anecdote regarding a scene he shared with DiCaprio, which involved his character delivering a slap to the Oscar-winning actor. This experience was particularly memorable, as it was not their first collaboration; the two had previously starred together in The Revenant, directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, in 2015.
“It was fun. But honestly, I was a little nervous about slapping him. I’m not a very [physical guy]; I’m not a fighting type of person,” he admitted. “So, he was like, ‘Come on, you can hit me harder, buddy. You can hit me harder than that.’ I had to really get myself [amped up] to deliver a proper slap, and slapping him was quite an experience.”
