In an exciting turn of events, two iconic members of Ratt, Stephen Pearcy and Warren DeMartini, are set to reunite, while legendary frontman David Lee Roth makes a highly anticipated return from retirement to headline this year’s M3 Festival.
The dynamic duo of Ratt will take center stage at the prestigious Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, on Sunday, May 4. This performance marks their first collaboration since 2018, igniting excitement among fans who have long awaited their return. Notably, the announcement did not mention the other surviving classic-era members, bassist Juan Croucier and drummer Bobby Blotzer, raising curiosity about future collaborations.
?Never say never, right? There was no question when the idea was brought up doing something with Warren again,” Pearcy expressed in an enthusiastic statement on X regarding the festival announcement. “It wasn?t even a thought, it?s time, let?s do this. Pearcy and DeMartini back in the cellar, let?s go! Let?s break the ice with the utmost respect and do what we do best together?play Ratt music. It?ll seem like yesterday instead of years when we?re back onstage regardless. It?s time to Ratt n? Roll again, even if it?s a double shot. It?s all about the band’s legacy. I know what we can create as a team, and that?s writing great songs and delivering an electrifying performance onstage. It?s only fitting that the first show in years be at M3 2025. It?s a fantastic event, and fans can expect all the Ratt hits and more. Let the ‘Invasion Celebration’ begin!”
Additionally, the festival will feature an impressive lineup on Sunday, including Ace Frehley, Warrant, Great White, Lita Ford, and Vixen, ensuring an unforgettable day of rock music.

On the festival’s opening day, Saturday, May 3, David Lee Roth will take the stage as the headliner. This performance marks his first official show in over five years, following his last gig opening for Kiss on March 10, 2020, at the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas. Fans are eager to see Roth return to live performance after such a long hiatus.
The former Van Halen frontman had originally planned to kick off a farewell residency in Las Vegas in early 2022. However, he announced his immediate retirement from touring when those shows were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, stating, “it’s not about me anymore.” This announcement left fans wondering about the future of his performances and musical contributions.
Although Roth has reportedly participated in a few private events since his retirement announcement, he has also kept his artistic energy alive by sharing numerous new songs and re-recorded covers of Van Halen classics on his YouTube channel, keeping his legacy and artistry relevant in the rock music scene.
