9-1-1 showrunner and co-creator Tim Minear previews the significant storyline between Buck and Eddie to start season 9. There was a series of episodes in 9-1-1 season 8 that hinted at Buck (Oliver Stark) confronting his potential feelings for Eddie (Ryan Guzman).
That was sidelined after the shocking death of Captain Bobby Nash. However, in a preview for Entertainment Weekly, Minear teases the narrative involving Buck and Eddie:
“It really opened up for me just some great possibilities for Eddie and I’m really excited about that one. Buck is quick to believe things, but Eddie might be quick to believe things now too. I know he always sort of poo-pooed those things, and kind of walked away from his faith, but I think there may be a spiritual awakening in Eddie’s future.”
