Major Characters Solo Leveling Season 3 Will Introduce

Warning: Manhwa spoilers ahead for Solo Leveling!Even though nearly a year has passed since season 2 of Solo Leveling was released, the excitement surrounding the anime remains as fresh as ever, more so now with word of a Solo Leveling movie going around. While the series’ producers have been silent, Solo Leveling’s renewal is a given, and season 3 is a matter of when, not if.

While most of the big names like the S-rank hunters and shadow soldiers like Beru have already been introduced in the last two installments, season 3 of Solo Leveling still has some big introductions in store as part of setting up the series’ finale. This likely means setting up for a fourth season if the series keeps its pace.

From introducing more of the mysterious Monarchs to finally giving the National Level Hunters like Christopher Reed and Thomas Andre a proper debut, season 3 of Solo Leveling is going to be huge in terms of world-building and lore, which might explain the anticipation surrounding the release.

Christopher Reed

With fans already having met all of the Korean and Japanese S-rank hunters during the Jeju Island Arc, season 3 of Solo Leveling will move on to introducing S-rank hunters from other countries, such as Yuri Orlof and Lennart Niermann. At the same time, season 3 will also bring the National Level hunters into the limelight.

So far, fans have encountered two of the five National Level hunters in the anime, namely, Thomas Andre and Liu Zhigang. National Level hunters are the most elite Solo Leveling hunters, so their exploits are typically especially fun to follow. Season 3 of Solo Leveling is set to introduce a third National Level hunter, which is Christopher Reed.

The other two National Level Hunters are Siddharth Bachchan and Antoine Martinez, both of whom are only introduced in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok.

Unfortunately however, Reed’s days are numbered, with his death set to spark a whole new mystery. At the same time, Christopher Reed’s introduction is set to reveal a huge secret about the National Level hunters, revealing the existence of the Rulers, which is a crucial piece of the puzzle that is Solo Leveling’s underlying plot.

Legia

The Monarch of the Beginning

Legia the monarch in solo leveling

So far, season 2 of Solo Leveling has introduced about three Monarchs: Baran, the Monarch of White Flames, Sillad, the Monarch of Frost, and Rakan, the Monarch of Fangs. As the story approaches its core conflict, season 3 of Solo Leveling will be introducing many more of the Monarchs, such as Tarnak, Yogumunt, Querehsha, and Legia.

However, Legia might just be the most interesting of the lot in season 3. Legia, the Monarch of the Beginning and the king of the Giants, is expected to make his debut in the Japan Crisis Arc. He plays a key role in building up the intrigue surrounding the dungeons, gates, and the secret reason the Monarchs and magic beasts wage war on humanity.

Thomas Andre

While Thomas Andre did make a small appearance in season 2, episode 9, season 3 of Solo Leveling will finally introduce him in full. Like Christopher Reed and Liu Zhigang, Thomas Andre is also a National Level Hunter, and fans will finally get to see him in action in season 3.

Thomas Andre’s cameo in season 2 was fleeting, appearing only for a few seconds while Woo Jinchul and Go Gunhee discussed his visit to Korea. While he does make a second appearance during the Recruitment Arc, Solo Leveling’s season 2 finale did not adapt that arc fully leaving Thomas’ debut for season 3.

It’s unlikely that season 3 will adapt the entire International Guild Conference Arc which means fans might have to wait to see Thomas Andre in action but he will certainly be present throughout season 3 particularly in Japan Crisis Arc. That said Jinwoo and Thomas Andre’s fight does give fans more reason to look forward to a potential fourth season.

Ashborn

The Former Shadow Monarch

At this point in anime Jinwoo’s title as Shadow Monarch is still quite mystery as is existence other Monarchs As such one biggest surprises season might introduction previous Shadow Monarch Ashborn.

Despite being such late introduction Ashborn at center Solo Levelings underlying story Jinwoos whole journey making his first appearance during Double Dungeon Arc Season likely wont dive Ashborns full history but Double Dungeon Arc give fans glimpse through memories locked inside Jinwoo.
