Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten hint at dark future for Valentin in General Hospital
In a recent conversation with TV Insider, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten teased various aspects of the future of General Hospital. “All story comes from character — where the characters are now, where we can take them next,” they stated.
“We ask ourselves, ‘How can we challenge them? Surprise them? What will touch their hearts, and ours? How can we discover new strengths — and weaknesses? What are the new and unexpected connections? Where are the time-tested relationships we can sustain and deepen?’ We want to tell stories that keep you anticipating — while revealing new facets of the characters we love,” they added.
Regarding Valentin, the co-creators mentioned, “Carly means to bury Brennan for luring Josslyn into a life of service to the WSB — even if that means getting in deeper with Valentin. Valentin’s bond with Charlotte may be the death of him.”
The recent episodes of General Hospital have hinted at Valentin’s growing bond with Charlotte. The co-creators seem to suggest that this could lead to the demise of the major villain.
In addition to Valentin, Korte and Etten also hinted at the fates of many other characters on the show.
They revealed that Nina will take a stand against Drew, but she will have to bear an unexpected cost for this. Maxie will return to Port Charles, while Britt and Jason will struggle to deny their mutual attraction. There will also be significant developments with Drew, whose shooter will finally be revealed.
So, there is a lot in store for General Hospital in 2026, making it an exciting time for viewers.
