Man on the Run LP by Paul McCartney Features Unreleased Tracks

The companion album by Paul McCartney featuring 12 songs for the new Wings documentary will include three previously unheard tracks. Man on the Run: Music from the Motion Picture Soundtrack is scheduled for release on February 27.

He is currently streaming “Arrow Through Me (Rough Mix)” and “Live And Let Die (Rockshow)” from the album exclusively on Amazon. Preorders are already available. Check out the complete track listing and artwork for the album below.

Man on the Run, directed by award-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville, delves into McCartney’s post-Beatles career during the 1970s. The previously unheard material features a demo of Wings’ hit single “Silly Love Songs” from 1976, “Gotta Sing Gotta Dance” from the 1973 TV special James Paul McCartney, and the rough mix of “Arrow Through Me,” a Top 30 U.S. hit from Back to the Egg, released in 1979.

‘One of the Biggest Acts of the Decade’

“When discussing the biggest acts of the 1970s, Paul McCartney is often overlooked,” Neville stated in an official comment. “Not because he wasn’t significant – he was undeniably one of the biggest acts of that decade – but due to his previous accomplishments.”

Neville further explained: “Paul was part of the biggest band in the world, which created its own gravitational force. In my film, Man on the Run, I aimed to explore Paul’s remarkable journey beyond the long shadow cast by the Beatles.”

Man on the Run: Music from the Motion Picture Soundtrack will be available in various formats, including digital, compact disc, black vinyl, New York taxi yellow vinyl (through Jack White’s Third Man Records), and tangerine peel orange vinyl (through Amazon). The film is also set to premiere on February 27 on Prime Video, following a limited theatrical release on February 19.
