Mayhem Festival 2025: Exciting New Plans Unveiled

The Mayhem Festival made a triumphant return in 2024 as a highly anticipated one-day destination event, captivating metal enthusiasts everywhere. However, the excitement doesn’t stop there! Plans are already in motion for the 2025 festival, promising an unforgettable experience for fans.

According to Sumerian Records founder Ash Avildsen, the upcoming 2025 edition will be uniquely titled Miss Mayhem. In a recent conversation with Rock Feed, he shared intriguing insights into this fresh approach, hinting at an all-female lineup that is set to redefine the festival experience.

Discover the Exciting Details of the Upcoming Miss Mayhem Festival

While specific details are still being finalized, Avildsen disclosed that the lineup will feature eight remarkable female-fronted bands, creating a groundbreaking touring package. “I can share that it’s called ‘Miss Mayhem‘, and it’s all-female,” Avildsen stated, emphasizing the festival’s unique focus and the thrilling anticipation surrounding its development. He noted that while some elements are yet to be confirmed, the festival aims to celebrate the talents of female musicians in the rock and metal scene.

Currently, seven of the eight bands have been secured, with the final act awaiting confirmation. This headliner is expected to be one of the more prominent acts, further heightening the anticipation for the Miss Mayhem tour. Avildsen also mentioned ongoing discussions with Live Nation regarding production logistics, essential for managing the high costs associated with contemporary touring.

“Hopefully by the time this comes out… We will either have a tour and all the acts will be done, because it’s all set up to be an all-female-fronted bill,” he shared, indicating a strong commitment to delivering an outstanding lineup.

Exploring the Rich Legacy of the Mayhem Festival

The original Mayhem Festival was a legendary touring metal festival that captivated audiences with multiple stages from 2008 to 2015. Over the years, it showcased iconic acts such as Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Cannibal Corpse, Five Finger Death Punch, Killswitch Engage, Behemoth, Amon Amarth, Megadeth, Godsmack, Rob Zombie, Slayer, and many more, cementing its place in metal history.

After nearly a decade-long hiatus, the Mayhem Festival made its comeback to the festival circuit in 2024, reimagined as a single destination event. Bad Omens headlined the lineup at San Bernardino’s Glen Helen Amphitheatre, a venue that has long been associated with past festivals, rekindling the spirit of the original events.

As of now, the official Mayhem Festival website continues to feature information about the 2024 show, which took place last October. However, with Avildsen’s recent hints, fans can expect an exciting announcement regarding the upcoming Miss Mayhem lineup in the near future.
