Metallica’s 2026 Tour Dates Announced with Star-Studded Lineup

Legendary heavy metal band Metallica has just revealed an exciting lineup of 2026 tour dates across the U.K. and Europe. The supporting acts will change per location, featuring Gojira and Knocked Loose for select performances, along with the iconic Pantera and dynamic Avatar at other venues. This highly anticipated tour promises to deliver an unforgettable experience for fans of all ages.

The tour is set to kick off on May 6, 2026, offering a mix of single-night shows in various cities and the thrilling No Repeat Weekend dual performances at select locations. Fans can look forward to a diverse range of musical experiences, showcasing the band’s legendary energy and musical prowess.

Gojira and Knocked Loose will serve as the opening acts for all of the One Night Only shows, as well as one of the two No Repeat Weekend performances. In contrast, Pantera and Avatar will alternate their appearances on the remaining No Repeat Weekend stops, providing a unique lineup for each night of the tour.

In a heartfelt message on social media, Avatar expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to share the stage with Metallica, stating,

Who knows where we’d be if it wasn’t for certain bands in our lives? We can say with a hundred percent certainty that without METALLICA, there would be no AVATAR (hey, look at those two names in the same sentence!). If John hadn’t broken his leg, been given a couple of CDs to pass the time, gotten obsessed [sic], researched Lars Ulrich’s drum set, bought a @officialtamadrums kit and convinced Jonas to start a band, Johannes wouldn’t have seen the note looking for a singer and so on, and so on.

How to even explain this? No words will ever do it justice. We have no other choice than to show you through our actions. We will seize this opportunity and make you feel the same as we were made to feel. It’s like a circle of violence you DON’T want to break.

Let’s deserve this!

Moreover, in a recent discussion with Loudwire Night radio host Chuck Armstrong, frontman Johannes Eckerstrom confirmed that Avatar’s highly anticipated new album — a follow-up to 2023’s Dance Devil Dance — is scheduled for release later this year. Fans can look forward to a fresh sound and innovative style.

“I feel like we did something that kills Dance Devil Dance because we found a fresh angle for ourselves … I can’t wait to show you,” he teased, generating anticipation among listeners and followers alike.
