Fans are gushing over how Michael Corinthos, played by Rory Gibson, outsmarted Nina Reeves on General Hospital. Their recent confrontation has left the fans in awe of the former as Nina tried and failed to threaten him regarding Willow’s case.
Here’s what the fans are saying about it.
Fans of General Hospital admire Michael’s dominance
In the episode of General Hospital aired on Tuesday, November 11, Nina ambushed Michael and Jacinda’s dinner by bringing Wiley to the Metro Court. Although she claimed that she brought Wiley only to get him an ice cream, Michael sees through her lies.
He understands that Nina intends to insult Jacinda and invalidate her stance as his alibi in Drew’s shooting. But he pushes back by saying that Willow will be locked up for good before anything else happens. Nina then threatens to take a photo of them as evidence of the company that he keeps around his son. However, Michael claps back again, reminding Nina he’s the boss and that she works for him. He then voluntarily poses close to Jacinda and Wiley for Nina to take a photo.
This power move by Michael has won viewers’ admiration. A fan posted on General Hospital’s Facebook page about it, and it has since gone viral.
The fan wrote, “Michael didn’t argue. He didn’t yell. He just reminded Nina, calmly, that he runs the office, her career, and the entire situation. Then he made her take a photo of him, his son, and Jacinda… and called her Grandma while doing it.
The control. The restraint. The quiet dominance. Unbelievably sexy.”
A user responded to the post, saying, “He totally shut her down,” while another said, “Michael is on a whole different level of genius.”
Furthermore, not only has the scene sat well with the audience, but also Rory Gibson’s portrayal of the character has deeply impressed fans. Gibson took over the role from Chad Duell in May of this year. Since then, fans have highly admired his portrayal and how he has made the character his own.
One fan responded, “It was so epic, I love this new Michael.” Meanwhile, another fan wrote, “He plays Michael so good, love it.” A third fan said, “His voice stays so calm, too!”
