Mike Vrabel became the Head Coach of the New England Patriots just over one year ago in early 2025, and his wife, Jennifer, was by his side for his first day.

Now, in his debut season, the 50-year-old former NFL linebacker led the team to the 2026 Super Bowl.

They met while they were both students at Ohio State University. Mike played college football there and was drafted into the NFL in 1997, where he played for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jennifer was also a student athlete, playing volleyball. Jennifer and Mike ended up dating and got married in 1999. He eventually ended up in New England and played there from 2001-2008.

They have two sons together: Tyler, 25, and Carter, 24.

Eventually, Mike retired from the league and started coaching. He was the Tennessee Titans’ head coach in 2018, where he said about his wife: “I love her to death. She’s been through a lot, and she understands this league.”

In 2024, they celebrated 25 years of marriage with a big trip to Italy, which they told the New York Times was his “first true vacation … maybe ever.”

They told ESPN that their favorite night of the week in season is Fridays.

“It’s fun. He’s usually home earlier, and we grab dinner. When he coached in college, he really didn’t have a night like that, so we cherish that night. It was the same when he played,” she said. “Fridays were always the best. It became like a date night or family night.”
