Mingus Reedus Arrested for Assault, Son of Norman Reedus and Helena Christensen

Mingus Reedus is facing legal issues.

The son of superstars Norman Reedus and Helena Christensen was arrested in New York City on Aug. 23, as confirmed by the New York City Police Department (NYPD) to People, and has since been charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and assault.

According to the NYPD, authorities “observed a 33-year-old female with minor injuries to [her] neck and leg” after arriving on the scene near 16th Street and 8th Avenue, as reported by the outlet. Mingus, 25, was taken into custody and an investigation is ongoing.

Authorities also stated, according to the outlet, that “EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.”

E! News has reached out to Mingus’ representatives for comment but has not received a response.

Mingus’ recent arrest follows nearly four years after he was previously arrested for assaulting a woman during the San Gennaro festival in the city’s Little Italy district. (In March 2022, Mingus ultimately accepted a plea deal for the lesser charge of disorderly conduct.)

According to the NYPD at that time, authorities responded to a 911 call regarding an assault that occurred around Mulberry Street and Baxter Street near the 5th Precinct.
