Miss Mexico Fátima Bosch Wins Miss Universe 2025

Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry Exits Miss Universe Pageant on Stretcher After Falling Off Stage

Miss Mexico has received her recognition.

Fátima Bosch Fernández was crowned Miss Universe on Nov. 21, with Miss Thailand Praveener Singh, 29, named runner-up, followed by Miss Venezuela Stephany Adriana Abasali Nasser, 25, in third place.

The journey to the crown wasn’t easy. Earlier in the competition, the 25-year-old was publicly criticized by pageant executive Nawat Itsaragrisi, who called her “dumb” during a pre-sash ceremony for not fulfilling an obligation. When she was escorted out by security, her fellow contestants staged a walkout in solidarity.

“I just want to let my country know, I’m not afraid to make my voice heard,” she stated in an interview, translated from Spanish and shared on Instagram. “It’s here stronger than ever. I have a purpose. I have things to say.”

“I’m not a doll to be made up, styled and have my clothes changed,” she added. “I came here to be a voice for all the women and all the girls who fight for causes and to tell my country that I’m completely committed to that.”
