MMA Movie Beast Teaser Trailer Featuring Russell Crowe & Luke Hemsworth


Lionsgate has shared the official teaser trailer and posters for Beast, the upcoming sports action drama starring Academy Award winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator). The movie will be arriving in theaters on April 10, 2026.

“After years away from the cage, a once-feared MMA champion is pulled back in for the fight of his life when his younger brother is put in danger. Reuniting with the trainer who once made him a legend, he commits to one final showdown against the reigning title-holder — a brutal fighter determined to dismantle the ex-champ’s legacy in front of the world,” reads the official synopsis. “Pushed to his breaking point, the contender’s stakes are simple: win, or lose everything he’s built.”

What happens in the Beast teaser trailer?

The video introduces Crowe as an MMA trainer who reunites with his former student in hopes of helping him become a champion fighter once again. The teaser trailer offers a glimpse of some of the movie’s intense training sequences, along with thrilling matches in the ring. According to People, one of the fight scenes in the movie was filmed in Bangkok, Thailand, during ONE Championship’s Friday Fights live event in January 2025.

Beast is directed by Tyler Atkins (Ocean Boy), with David Frigerio (Land Of Bad, Muzzle) writing the screenplay. The movie also stars Daniel MacPherson (Land of Bad), Luke Hemsworth (Westworld), Bren Foster (The Last Ship), Amy Shark (Love, Simon), Mojean Aria (The Enforcer), and Kelly Gale (Plane). It is produced by John Schwarz, Frigerio, Michael Schwarz, and Tim O’Hair.
