Details Surrounding the Heartbreaking Departure of Tasha Lawson
As reported by the New York Post, Tasha succumbed to heart complications at Waycross Hospital on April 13. Her family strongly believes that her death was a direct result of the overwhelming heartbreak she experienced following the loss of her son just two weeks earlier. Tasha and Tee’Andrick shared an exceptionally close bond, often referred to as “best friends who did everything together” in a GoFundMe campaign created to assist with Tasha’s funeral expenses. The campaign poignantly highlighted the profound impact Tee’Andrick’s death had on his mother, stating, “The pain of losing her son was too much for her heart to bear.”
Tasha Lawson Expresses Grief Over Son’s Death in Heartfelt Interview
“I can’t wake him up to go to the store with me, I can’t do any of that. He just didn’t deserve what they did to him. […] And the ones that did it, I got along with y’all. Y’all came to my house. Y’all ate my food. Y’all did all that, but then come do this to my boy?”
Unraveling the Circumstances of Tee’Andrick’s Untimely Death
At the time of the tragic incident, Tee’Andrick was home alone when two assailants allegedly broke into his family residence and confronted him. After multiple unanswered calls, his brother grew concerned and went to check on him, only to discover Tee’Andrick’s lifeless body in his bedroom.
Reports from WTOC indicate that Tee’Andrick succumbed to his horrific injuries. As of now, law enforcement has not made any arrests connected to his death. The family firmly believes that the attack was driven by hate, asserting that Tee’Andrick was targeted because of his sexuality. They also harbor suspicions that the perpetrators may have been known to their family. “He thought he was safe, and he was not safe. And for it to be people that’s literally right across the road, like, I can’t,” Terreona expressed. “Everybody accepted him but the men who couldn’t accept themselves.”
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is actively pursuing the case, although it has not yet classified it as a hate crime officially.
