The legendary Moody Blues icon John Lodge has excitingly expanded his 2025 concert schedule to include additional dates in California, Texas, Arizona, and Oklahoma this December. He will kick off his tour on July 19 in New Jersey, bringing his rich musical legacy to audiences across the nation.
Named after the memorable Moody Blues track written by Lodge, the Singer in a Rock and Roll Band Tour promises fans a “true Moody Blues experience,” as stated in an official announcement. Many of the venues on this tour will be new for Lodge, making this an exciting opportunity for both him and his fans. “John will perform these timeless classics true to their original form, but with an extra spark of magic, creating an atmosphere filled with joy and nostalgia for all attendees,” the statement emphasized.
The Moody Blues last graced the stage together during their 2018 tour, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of their groundbreaking 1967 progressive rock album, Days of Future Passed. The band faced a significant loss with the passing of founding member Graeme Edge in 2021.

“I am thrilled to announce these new December dates,” Lodge expressed. “We have been having a fantastic time creating this new show, and I can hardly wait for the July tour to commence next month, followed by the continued excitement into December.” His passion for live performance is evident as he gears up for this much-anticipated tour.
In his previous tour early in 2024, Lodge also highlighted the iconic Days of Future Passed. The upcoming concerts will showcase a diverse selection of songs from the extensive Moody Blues catalog, featuring hits from 1972’s chart-topping Seventh Sojourn, the million-selling Octave from 1978, and the platinum album Long Distance Voyager released in 1981.
Tickets for most of the newly added shows will be available for purchase starting at 10 AM on Friday, June 27. Be sure to check out the tour preview video and a comprehensive list of dates and locations provided below.
“California has always held a special place in my heart, and we thoroughly enjoy performing at Danny Zelisko’s venues in Arizona. Additionally, we are excited to perform at new locations in Austin and Oklahoma City,” Lodge remarked in the official announcement. “Being a ‘singer in a rock and roll band’ continues to bring me immense joy as I perform for my fans and share this music, which serves as the soundtrack of my life and resonates with many others as well.”
