    Morgan Evans is in a new chapter. After spending much of the past few years reflecting on his divorce from Kelsea Ballerini, the Australian singer has shifted his focus toward moving forward — both personally and professionally.

    Evans has returned to releasing new music and, in Laci Kaye Booth , with the pair making their red carpet debut at the CMA Awards.

    Now, Evans is looking ahead.

    Here’s everything you need to know about the Australian singer and songwriter.

    1. He was married to Kelsea Ballerini for almost five years.

    Morgan’s ex-wife is none other than Kelsea, who he married in 2017 after dating for one and half years.

    But it wasn’t meant to be, and in August 2022 they announced their split.

    He admitted in the fifth YouTube episode (released Feb.28 , 2023 ) that he “feels pretty good, considering everything,” while admitting he has “a long way to go.”

    The singer and the country icon divorced in November of2022 , and she’s been talking about the marriage and the fallout after the split.

    2. He started playing music as a teenager.

    Morgan grew up in Australia and performed his first show at the age of13 .

    3. He’s released several successful albums & EPs.

    4. He relocated to Nashville.

    After several years of success in Australia, Morgan moved to Nashville for good and signed with Warner Music in2017 .
