According to the Daily Mail, on Sunday, February 1, Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy wins rose to a record-breaking number of 26. This, reportedly breaking Jay-Z’s record of taking home a total of 25 Grammys — the most a rapper had ever earned until Sunday with Lamar.
Per Vulture, the ‘Not Like Us’ rapper started the evening with nominations for nine awards. Then, he won “Best Rap Performance,” “Best Melodic Rap Performance,” and “Best Rap Song.”

Then, as the ceremony went on, Lamar took home the Grammy for “Best Rap Album” — officially breaking Hov’s record.
