Multiple Sclerosis Insights from Selma Blair on Health

Selma Blair is grateful to be feeling good.

The Cruel Intentions star, who shared her multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis in 2018, offered a positive update on her health, revealing that she’s been relapse-free for a “couple of years” after undergoing rounds of chemotherapy and stem cell treatment.

“That, of course, means the world to me that I’m not, at this moment, accumulating more damage in my brain,” she said in an interview with Stellar published Nov. 22. “I have also made a lot of strides with the vibe of neuroplasticity.”

Indeed, the actress—whose MS has been in remission since 2021—said she felt “very, very lucky” as she continues to advocate for others battling the autoimmune disease.

“Everyone’s experience with MS is different,” she continued. “I think I do have a certain place [to speak publicly]. My big mouth likes to see what I can do about stigma.”

With her health in good standing, Selma, 53, is also diving back into acting, noting that she has three new acting projects in the works.
