As the vehicles carrying Ozzy’s family approached the renowned Black Sabbath Bench, they paused to pay their respects and lay flowers at this significant memorial, highlighting the deep connection between Ozzy and his roots.

While the actual funeral service remained private for Ozzy’s closest family and friends, several prominent figures were in attendance. Among them were Ozzy’s Black Sabbath bandmates — Tony Iommi, Bill Ward, and Geezer Butler — alongside longtime collaborator and guitarist Zakk Wylde, James Hetfield from Metallica, Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Elton John, and Yungblud [via The Sun].

Additionally, Robert Trujillo of Metallica, who played bass for Ozzy during the ’90s, expressed his intentions to attend the service via social media the day before. Notably, Sid Wilson of Slipknot, who is now engaged to Kelly Osbourne, was also visible in the livestream of the procession.

“Ozzy’s service was a beautiful tribute. It was filled with both tears and laughter,” a family friend recounted to The Sun.

The attendance included around 110 people, all gathered to celebrate Ozzy’s extraordinary life.

“Today, we laid to rest a beloved friend. I am eternally grateful that you let me into your life, Ozzy. Your inspiration and love will always remain with me. Thank you, Sharon and family, for a respectful and beautiful ceremony. Your legacy lives on,” Manson shared in a post on X following the ceremony.

Location of the Heartfelt Funeral Service

The emotional service took place at the home of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne in Buckinghamshire, England. Tents and a stage were meticulously arranged around their property to create a space for friends and family to pay tribute to the rock icon.

“Everyone at the service just wanted to rally around Sharon and the kids during this incredibly difficult time,” another family friend shared with The Sun. “Toasts were raised, memories were exchanged, and it was a very fitting farewell for a man who meant so much to so many.”

Ozzy was laid to rest next to a tranquil lake on their Buckinghamshire estate, marked by a wreath emblazoned with “Ozzy Fucking Osbourne” and a floral arrangement that proudly spelled out “Ozzy.”

“Ozzy had always envisioned his final resting place to be at home, and he is interred at a stunning spot by the lake,” the friend elaborated, highlighting the serene beauty of the location.
