Currently, My Chemical Romance is in the midst of their thrilling Long Live the Black Parade tour, where they perform the entire 2006 album in its glorious entirety. In addition to the music, the evening was made even more special as My Chemical Romance received a prestigious “key to the city” of Belleville, New Jersey, the hometown of members Gerard Way, bassist Mikey Way, and guitarist Frank Iero. Belleville is conveniently located just a short 15-minute drive from East Rutherford, where the epic concert took place.
This significant honor was presented onstage by Belleville Mayor Michael Melham, who noted that this was the very first key to the city ever awarded in Belleville’s history, marking a momentous occasion for both the band and the community.
