Mysteriously Vanished Nu-Metal Album Disappears from Spotify

A significant nu-metal album has unexpectedly disappeared from Spotify, leaving dedicated fans feeling quite unsettled about its absence.

Across various social media platforms, fans have reported that System of a Down‘s revolutionary 2001 album Toxicity is no longer accessible on Spotify. After conducting our own investigation into the matter, we can confirm the album’s disappearance, although the specifics of the situation remain unclear at this time.

Some Iconic Tracks from ‘Toxicity’ Remain Accessible on Spotify

Fortunately, the band’s most popular three tracks are still available on Spotify — “Chop Suey!,” “Toxicity,” and “Aerials.” However, the Toxicity album cover art is not displayed alongside these tracks. Instead, “Chop Suey!” and “Aerials” now appear under the compilation album Rock Classico, while “Toxicity” is categorized under another compilation titled Nice 2000s.

Despite this, the remainder of the songs from the Toxicity album are currently unavailable on Spotify, except for a few live renditions and covers performed by other artists, which fans may find disappointing.

As the band is presently on tour in South America, they have not yet provided any official comments regarding this puzzling situation. However, a fan reached out to a System of a Down fan account on Instagram via Reddit, and the account responded indicating that both the band and Sony are reportedly aware of the issue and are actively working on a resolution.
