The Black Keys have officially announced the highly anticipated release of their 13th studio album, No Rain, No Flowers, which is set to debut on August 8. This album marks a significant addition to their impressive discography and is expected to resonate with fans around the world.

In conjunction with this announcement, the duo has unveiled the title track from the upcoming album, which serves as a follow-up to their previous work, Ohio Players, released in 2024. The album’s title, No Rain, No Flowers, may reflect the tumultuous experiences that Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney faced in 2024, including the abrupt cancellation of a poorly organized tour and the decision to part ways with their management. Carney candidly remarked, “Shit happens, and you just have to move through it,” emphasizing their resilience and determination to overcome challenges.

In creating this new collection of 13 songs, they collaborated with renowned songwriters Rick Nowels, Daniel Tashian, and Scott Storch. Auerbach shared, “I had worked with Rick Nowels on Lana Del Rey’s Ultraviolence,” highlighting their past collaboration. He noted, “We’d never really collaborated with a keyboard player or someone who writes on piano the way he does, but it clicked immediately, leading to a unique creative synergy.”

Carney added, “We wanted to go straight to the source – into the room with people known for their songwriting. Daniel Tashian was one of the first people I met after moving to Nashville, and we’ve been fans of Scott Storch forever.” This desire to work closely with established songwriters showcases their commitment to crafting high-quality music that resonates with their style.

The Black Keys will support the launch of No Rain, No Flowers with an extensive tour, beginning on May 23 in Durant, OK, and culminating on September 20 in Atlanta, GA. The tour will feature multiple stops across North America, Europe, and the U.K., giving fans ample opportunity to experience their electrifying performances live.
