New Cover Album by Robert Plant Set for September Release

Robert Plant is set to unveil a highly anticipated new album titled Saving Grace, which features an exciting collection of song covers on September 26. This release marks a significant moment in his illustrious career, showcasing his enduring passion for music and artistry.

The album, which will be distributed by Nonesuch Records, takes its name from Plant’s newly formed band, Saving Grace. The ensemble includes talented musicians such as vocalist Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, and cellist Barney Morse-Brown. Alongside the album announcement, Plant and his band have released the lead single titled “Everybody’s Song,” a fresh interpretation of the original track by the indie rock band Low, which was first released in 2005.

Connecting with the members of Saving Grace came naturally for Plant during the pandemic lockdown while he was in the serene environment of the English countryside. The recording sessions for this album took place over an extensive period, from April 2019 to January 2025, primarily in the picturesque Cotswolds region of England and on the scenic Welsh Borders. This time frame reflects Plant’s commitment to crafting a project that resonates deeply with both him and his audience.

Plant expresses a sense of joy and camaraderie within the band, stating, “We laugh a lot, really. I think that suits me. I like laughing,” emphasizing the light-hearted spirit of the collaboration. He continues, “You know, I can’t find any reason to be too serious about anything. I’m not jaded. The sweetness of the whole thing …These are sweet people, and they are playing out all the stuff that they could never get out before. They have become unique stylists and together they seem to have landed in a most interesting place.” This sentiment highlights the creative freedom that the band enjoys, resulting in a vibrant and engaging musical experience.

To promote the album, Plant and Saving Grace will embark on an extensive 21-date tour across Europe and the U.S. during the upcoming summer and fall seasons. Fans are encouraged to check the tour dates and join in on this exciting journey.

Throughout his remarkable career, Plant has shared the stage with various bands, including the Sensational Shapeshifters and the legendary Led Zeppelin. His extensive experience in live performance continues to shape his artistry and influence in the music industry.
