There’s nothing like a good tease to generate excitement around a new album, and the Foo Fighters are currently utilizing an interactive website filled with song snippets ahead of what is anticipated to be a new album announcement. Fans have already begun sharing their thoughts on the snippets of music they’ve heard from the upcoming record.
About the Foo Fighters’ Interactive Website
Visitors to the Foo Fighters website can explore an interactive homepage that allows them to search around items in a room while uncovering snippets of music that are likely to appear on the band’s next album.
The room resembles a music lover’s bedroom, adorned with various Foo Fighters posters, decals, and photos. It even features a guitar, a stack of CDs, a pile of dirty clothes, and more.
As of now, not all items in the room have interactive elements, but many photos seem to come from recent recording sessions and provide approximately 10-second snippets of music. There are 11 interactive items placed throughout the room.
Visit the website and click around the room to discover what you can hear.
What Fans Are Saying About the Foo Fighters Music Snippets
Even though only snippets are available at this stage, it has been sufficient for fans to start expressing their opinions about the new music and the band’s musical direction.
One fan commented on a Reddit thread dedicated to discussing the interactive site, “I think those people saying ‘Wasting Light 2’ will be disappointed.” Another fan replied, “Honestly, I picked up more IYH [In Your Honor] vibes than WL.”
Additional observations from Reddit include:
- Based on the snippet of the solo DG poster with the guitar on the far left, that song is going to be a banger.
- The Ilan picture – are they using the cloud spotter riff again?
- It sounds like “Violet” has more backing vocals on some of these tracks.
- Those new songs are sounding EVIL.
- The website is cool; it reminds me of the old days of cryptic marketing. I like most of the clips, and it seems like the album will have a great sound.
