Who Is the Sky? signifies David Byrne’s first collection of new music since his acclaimed 2018 album American Utopia. This exciting project features contributions from a variety of talented artists, including St. Vincent, Hayley Williams from Paramore, and Tom Skinner of The Smile, among others. The album’s production is helmed by Kid Harpoon, who has recently collaborated with major pop artists such as Miley Cyrus, Lizzo, Harry Styles, and Shawn Mendes.

In a previous press release, Byrne expressed, “At my age, at least for me, there’s a ‘don’t give a shit about what people think’ attitude that kicks in.” This newfound freedom allows him to step outside his comfort zone, as he feels more confident in his artistic identity and direction.
