Nicko McBrain’s Live Covers of Unplayed Iron Maiden Songs

Titanium Tart, the electrifying Iron Maiden tribute band featuring the legendary drummer Nicko McBrain, recently took the stage for their highly anticipated first performance since McBrain’s retirement from touring with the iconic metal band at the end of last year. This remarkable show, held at Captain Hiram’s Resort in Sebastian, Florida, showcased an impressive ten-song setlist that included two tracks that Iron Maiden had never performed live before, thrilling fans with rare musical gems.

This concert marked the beginning of four scheduled performances by Titanium Tart in Florida this month, where McBrain delivered an exhilarating hour-and-forty-minute show. The evening kicked off with the classic hit “The Number of the Beast,” and the setlist was packed with deep cuts and other Iron Maiden favorites that are often overlooked in live performances.

On July 17, the setlist included the live debuts of Senjutsu tracks “The Parchment” and “Darkest Hour,” making it a historic night for both the band and the audience. Notably, six out of the ten songs performed exceeded seven minutes in length, showcasing the band’s commitment to delivering an epic musical experience.

Although McBrain stepped back from touring with Iron Maiden in December of last year, he has hinted at the possibility of returning to the stage with the band once again. While he has not made a definitive commitment, he mentioned in an interview with SiriusXM‘s Eddie Trunk that he could potentially join the band for a limited number of songs in the future. There is also a chance that he may contribute to a new recording if the band decides to produce a follow-up to Senjutsu. “We’re all still part of the family, even though I’m not performing at the shows,” he expressed.
