Nikki Glaser Explains Turning Down Kevin Hart Roast Opportunity

'I'm Coming Up Short with Short Jokes'

Nikki Glaser has declined an invitation to roast Kevin Hart.

The 41-year-old comedian and Golden Globes host recently revealed that she was invited to Netflix’s roast of Kevin, hosted by Shane Gillis, but decided not to participate.

“I do not have the time right now in my schedule to commit to giving it what I want to give it,” Nikki told Variety this week at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.

She added, “I love it and when I work hard at it I kill it, but I just don’t have the time to work hard at it and I just recently roasted Kevin Hart at the Golden Globes. I roasted him at the [Tom Brady roast]. I’m coming up short with short jokes if you know what I’m saying.”

Nikki was also involved in the roasts for Bruce Willis, Alec Baldwin, and Rob Lowe.

However, she will collaborate with Kevin soon on a different Netflix series, the comedy competition show Funny AF with Kevin Hart, where Nikki will be a special guest judge alongside celebrities like Chelsea Handler, Kumail Nanjiani, Keegan-Michael Key, and more.

Kevin‘s roast special is scheduled for the final of the 2026 Netflix Is a Joke Fest and will be broadcast live on Sunday, May 10, from The Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

Nikki will also return to host the 2027 Golden Globes.
