Ozzfest Night Songs Performed on The Masked Singer

The Masked Singer embraced metal and hard rock for a special Ozzfest-themed episode featuring Kelly Osbourne as a special guest judge. Let’s take a closer look at who performed and who was eliminated during Ozzfest Night.

Who Performed on Ozzfest Night of The Masked Singer?

Throughout the episode, four contestants brought the music of Ozzfest Night to life. The episode opened with a group performance of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train,” featuring the four performers — High Voltage, Galaxy Girl, Eggplant, and Pangolin, while the judges watched. Judge Ken Jeong fully embraced the evening by wearing an Ozzy jacket.

The first performance came from High Voltage, who tackled the Black Sabbath classic “Paranoid.” The vocals were clearer than Ozzy’s usual rendition, but the performer behind the lightbulb costume delivered a strong performance.

As clues were revealed to uncover High Voltage’s identity, several Ozzfest-related hints emerged, including that the performer had experience breaking out of a group to go solo. Visual clues included a sign reading “95,” a yellow duffle bag, a jar of jam, and a bandwagon as the singer stated, “Because of me, other people joined on the bandwagon.”

The second performer was Galaxy Girl, who donned a satellite-inspired costume while singing “Drive” by former Ozzfest participants Incubus. Her vocals were more polished with a sultry interpretation of the song. In her clues, she mentioned attending Lilith Fair as her first concert but noted she was not the most famous singer in her family. Visual hints included a spider and a halo, with her declaring, “Not everyone earns a halo in their lifetime, but I sure did.”

The Eggplant was the third performer of the night, channeling another past Ozzfest participant while delivering Linkin Park’s “One Step Closer.” The giant purple figure commanded the stage with powerful vocals. Judge Robin Thicke remarked, “Eggplant just turned into Robert Plant” following the impressive performance.

The final performer was Pangolin, who offered a heartfelt rendition of Ozzy Osbourne’s ballad for Sharon Osbourne, “Mama, I’m Coming Home.” Pangolin revealed that she once lived in her car but felt that one powerful song helped her rise from darkness. Her visual clues included a kettlebell with a heart, a jar of tips, and the number 1,000. She added, “I’ve hit plenty of milestones, but this one truly shimmered,” while providing an additional clue of a diamond.

Who Had to Compete to Stay?

After the first round of performances concluded, audience votes determined that Galaxy Girl and Pangolin advanced in the competition while High Voltage and Eggplant faced elimination. They were tasked with performing Black Sabbath’s classic “Iron Man.”

Ultimately, Eggplant was eliminated that night, revealing soap opera star and ’80s radio hitmaker Jack Wagner as the person behind the mask. Wagner gained fame in the ’80s on General Hospital and topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart with “All I Need,” taking his loss gracefully.

“Well, I love new characters so this was certainly a challenge to bring life to an eggplant. It’s just such a thrill,” said Wagner upon his reveal. He also reminisced about working with Sharon Osbourne during a scene on a CBS soap.

“Sharon came and did a scene with me on The Bold and the Beautiful,” he recalled. “We did a bed scene. I was a very good boy but we did share a hug together.”

What About Ozzfest?

The choice for The Masked Singer to feature an Ozzfest night is likely connected to recent news confirming that Ozzfest will return as a festival in 2027.

This year, Sharon Osbourne hinted at the event’s return and later confirmed it during an appearance at MIDEM in France last month.

Osbourne mentioned that it will initially return with a performance at Aston Villa in Birmingham, England — which hosted last year’s Back to the Beginning concert — before heading stateside for a tour.
