Ozzy Osbourne Warned of Possible Death Before Final Show

Ozzy Osbourne was aware that his time was limited when he took the stage for his final concert.

Back to the Beginning, held on July 5, 2025, in Birmingham, England, was a star-studded tribute to Black Sabbath and Ozzy. The event showcased an incredible lineup of rock legends, including Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Tool, Slayer, Tom Morello, and many more. It served as a fitting farewell for Osbourne, who passed away less than three weeks later.

In a recent episode of the Dumb Blonde podcast, Sharon Osbourne revealed that her late husband had been informed he didn’t have much longer to live prior to the performance.

“Two weeks before the show, they said he could probably die, and he did,” she shared (as transcribed by Blabbermouth). “But he wanted to do it so badly. He needed it. And it’s like, ‘Whether I die in two weeks or I die in six months, I’m still dying. And I want to go my way.’ And he did. He went out like a rock star.”

‘Ozzy, This Could Kill You’

“It’s kind of bittersweet because we knew,” Sharon continued. “Ozzy had sepsis earlier last year. Very few people ever recover from that without losing a limb or their life… As soon as he got sepsis, the kids and I knew it was time. When we went to England, he was hospitalized for a week. When he came out, they said, ‘You know, Ozzy, this could kill you.’ And he replied, ‘I’m doing my show.’ He went out like a king.”

As Sharon explained, Ozzy lived and died on his own terms.

“He went the way he wanted to go,” she remarked. “It was so quick. Thank God for that. When they were trying to revive him, I knew. I thought, ‘Don’t. Don’t do it. Leave him.’ He was done. But again, he went out like a rock star.”
