Peter Forrest, widely recognized in the music community as P. Fluid, the former frontman of the influential funk metal band 24-7 Spyz, was tragically discovered deceased in a brutal attack on Monday, January 13, in New York City. The shocking news has left fans and fellow musicians mourning the loss of a vibrant artist.

According to a report by The New York Daily News, the 64-year-old musician was found in the back of the ambulette he was operating. His last communication was at 8 AM with colleagues from the ambulette service. When he failed to complete scheduled pickups and did not respond to calls, his coworkers grew increasingly worried about his safety.

A concerned co-worker utilized GPS technology to locate his vehicle. Upon arrival, they discovered the front door window had been shattered, with Forrest lying face down in the back. The police report confirmed the heartbreaking news that he had been beaten to death, marking a tragic end to a life filled with musical passion.

In a heart-wrenching statement to The New York Daily News, an unnamed colleague expressed, ?We are cooperating fully with the investigation, and it?s a terrible tragedy for the family. Our hearts go out to his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.?

24-7 Spyz experienced peak success during the late 1980s and early 1990s, captivating audiences with their unique fusion of funk and metal, a sound that reflected the diverse musical influences they absorbed from their Bronx roots. Over their illustrious career, they released eight studio albums, with P. Fluid lending his powerful vocals to three of these projects.
