Martha Stewart Shares Candid Insights on Meghan Markle & Gwyneth Paltrow as Emerging Lifestyle Authorities
Pamela Anderson may be recognized as the last showgirl, but she openly acknowledges that she wasn’t the first in this realm.
The Baywatch icon responded thoughtfully to the ongoing comparisons drawn between her cooking show Pamela’s Cooking with Love, which made its debut in February, and Meghan Markle’s With Love, Meghan, which premiered just one week later, by rating the similarities on a scale from one to ten.
“One,” Pamela stated during her conversation with Andy Cohen on the August 3 episode of Watch What Happens Live. “I didn’t really look [for similarities], but I didn’t invent cooking shows; they have been around long before me.”
The 58-year-old actress and model continued by saying about the Duchess of Sussex, “She’s just doing her thing and carving out her niche in the lifestyle industry.”
Around the time of each show’s launch, Pamela’s fellow executive producer for her series, Jesse Fawcett, also dismissed the critics’ remarks that focused on the similarities in their titles and overall aesthetics.
“We take immense pride in planting the first seeds – creating original, distinctive programming that audiences adore,” he expressed to Daily Mail in a statement made in March, “and it’s a compliment to see our work with Ms. Anderson resonate so strongly with viewers.”
While Pamela and her team focus on delivering quality content rather than concerning themselves with the likenesses of Meghan’s endeavors, other celebrities have voiced their opinions regarding the royal’s new pursuits. Notably, Martha Stewart has recently shared her candid thoughts about Meghan’s contributions to the lifestyle sector.
