Paulina Porizkova, the iconic supermodel, is fully embracing her evolving physique and the journey that comes with it.
The 59-year-old fashion icon took to Instagram on a Wednesday to candidly discuss her recent weight gain, shedding light on her health journey.
Initially, the extra pounds concerned her due to the nature of her career in modeling. However, as Porizkova reflected, she has come to appreciate the transformation of her body.
?I gained about 15 lb after my bilateral hip replacement in early 2024,? she shared, complementing her words with captivating images of herself in stunning swimsuits during recent getaways to Jamaica and Iceland with her partner, Jeff Greenstein. ?The funny thing is, I was so happy with my life; the end of chronic pain, building a life with my love, traveling with friends, and working on new writing projects ? that I had no idea I had gained all this weight.?

Porizkova further revealed that in September 2024, she traveled to Paris for her first modeling assignment of the year, only to realize that she had indeed gained weight after her surgery.
?One day back at my old job, and I was acutely aware of every extra pound. I didn?t fit into the clothes,? she expressed. ?Which, of course, WAS and IS my job. To fit the clothes!?
Despite trying to maintain a brave front, Porizkova admitted to feeling ?terrible? about herself by the end of the day.
Due to her profession as a model, she mentioned a desire to shed the weight to fit back into the clothes, but then she encountered the ?post-menopausal bump? that complicated her efforts.

?Two months later, I am exactly the same weight,? she reflected. ?My butt feels firmer, but otherwise ? most of my clothes are simply too small, indicating I haven?t shrunk.?
After some introspection and consistent work in the gym, Porizkova came to the realization that she genuinely appreciates her ?fuller physique? and has learned to embrace it.
?I do not precisely mind this new, fuller physique. Compared to a year ago when I was 15 lbs less but in constant pain, my new softness feels soothing. Thanks to my love @sjeffgreenstein, my body also feels at the peak of its sexiness, desirability, and okay, I?ll say it ? prowess,? she added, concluding her post with a light-hearted remark, humorously noting that her ?only problems? now are that she has ?no jobs and nothing to wear.?

Porizkova opened up about the significant hip issues that necessitated her surgery back in 2022, following her participation in CBS’s celebrity-driven ?Beyond the Edge? reality TV series, where contestants faced life in the jungle and engaged in demanding mental and physical challenges.
Sharing a striking bikini selfie on Instagram, Porizkova showcased her stunning figure and the impact the experience had on her, particularly regarding her hips and mobility.
?This is what I?ve been up to in the last week, taking a break and trying to figure out ways to fix my hips after my jungle journey,? she wrote at that time.

Porizkova further shared that she hasn?t ?been able to walk properly for months,? and while she did not provide additional specifics regarding her health at that time, she expressed her determination to resolve the issues.
The runway star, who has lived with congenital hip dysplasia, underwent surgery for her hip injury last January, having a double hip replacement after explaining to her followers that her hips had become ?worn down.?
