  • Health Concerns: Perrie experienced troubling symptoms while on tour.
  • Emotional Impact: A 20-week scan revealed devastating news for Perrie.
  • Previous Experience: Perrie had faced a miscarriage before her current pregnancy.

After confirming her hunch with a pregnancy test, Perrie and Alex couldn’t have been happier to expand their family. But after she and fellow bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall hit the road in April 2022, the X Factor alum started to feel like something was off.

“Every night before a show, I kept bleeding,” she recalled. “I remember sitting and thinking, ‘This is it, I’ve lost the baby.’”

Even as doctors continued to reassure Perrie that her baby was doing well, the situation took a turn when she went in for a scan at the 20-week mark.

“That was just the worst day of my life, like horrendous,” Perrie—who had also experienced a miscarriage prior to her pregnancy with Axel—recalled. “I just knew something was wrong in the scan.”

“I was just traumatized,” she continued, noting that she couldn’t even drive home from the appointment because she was crying so hard. “I think when you’re fully carrying and you’re 24 weeks and you’ve planned out like their room and all these things, it’s really hard.”
