The talented actor from Modern Family recently opened up about the long-lasting health complications he continues to face after a traumatic incident when he was struck by a cement truck at the tender age of 11. He candidly recounted how his first experience with self-exploration ended in a bizarre and painful mishap resulting in the loss of a toe.

“While taking a bath, I found myself unable to stand due to my accident, and I had just discovered the joys of masturbation, which I absolutely enjoyed,” Adam shared during a revealing April 2 episode of In Depth with Graham Bensinger. “This was a monumental moment for me as it was one of my first experiences with masturbation, and it felt epic to realize, ‘I can do this whenever I want?’”

“So there I am, enjoying my time in the bathtub, unable to stand due to my injuries, and I’m fully engaged,” he explained. “It was the first time that anything had come out, and I was perplexed, thinking, ‘What is this?’ Just as I was trying to manage the situation, I noticed my pinky toe—floating in the bathtub, separated from my foot.”
