PlayStation Plus has had a great December already. This month, subscribers have been offered extra games on the Essential tier, received a day-one release, and seen numerous additions to the Extra and Premium tiers as well. Now, PS Plus members have a chance to get a great RPG at no additional cost. But you’ll have to act fast, just in case you only have this month to grab it.
Over on PlayStation Blog, a number of games have been confirmed for PS Plus during the month of December 2025. One of those is Granblue Fantasy: Relink, which is available for subscribers on the Extra and Premium tiers. If you’re looking for a great action RPG with an anime aesthetic, then you’ll absolutely love it.
Sadly, Granblue Fantasy: Relink isn’t on the Essential tier, which means all PS Plus members won’t be able to add it to their libraries. Regardless, it’s a pretty nice addition for Extra and Premium members, and of the December games revealed, it’s arguably the best of the bunch. While the main story is fairly short, there’s plenty to keep you busy.
In Granblue Fantasy: Relink, the Captain and their crew aboard the Grandcypher meet up with Rolan, a man who has a strange connection with a woman named Lillith. No further spoilers, but you’ll get to meet up with (and play as) various characters over the course of the main story. There are also upgrades and side missions, and a beefy post-game to boot.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink Is An Excellent RPG
I reviewed Granblue Fantasy: Relink when it was new and was pleasantly surprised by how much fun I had. Playing through various environments as multiple characters with their own weapons and abilities is a lot of fun, and the world is vibrant and beautiful. Even if you know nothing about Granblue Fantasy, you can enjoy Relink.
While the main story can feel undercooked at times, the gameplay and visuals more than make up for it. The main story was thoroughly solid, but exploration and side quests kept me engaged even longer than I normally would’ve been. ScreenRant even listed it as one of the best RPGs of 2024, with many editors and writers here loving it.
If you’ve been on the fence about checking out Granblue Fantasy: Relink, now is the time to try it. If you’ve got a PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium membership, then it’s well worth downloading and playing this month. We don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
