Romy Park has not appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful for some time, and based on the actress’s recent announcement, it appears that Poppy may not return to the soap opera anytime soon. Since her last appearance in November 2025, several major developments have unfolded on the show.

Romy Park of The Bold and the Beautiful Announces Next Phase in Her Career

Romy Park has not appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful since November 2025. That was when her character said she was glad that her daughter, Luna Nozawa, was dead.

In a new post on Instagram, Park explained why she is stepping away from acting. “Who’s the boss? Only a few people were aware that in late December and early January, I was actively packing up my place and getting ready to move back to my native East Coast,” she wrote, “I’m still aiming to go, but my plans are on hold. I met with the NYC branch of my acting agency, found a new vet, made their initial appointments, and found new ballet schools.”

She said, “However, this was not in the cards as a huge opportunity on one of my projects makes it necessary for me to stay and see it through.” She continued, “I’ve been working tirelessly and hoping it’s not too much longer to announce what I’ve been working on. I’ve had to temporarily step back from acting and have turned down some amazing offers for a couple of independent films, as well as having to decline some auditions, as I want to focus properly on realizing the big picture of the future I want to create for myself.”

She went on to explain that she plans to move into producing. It would be a shift that would naturally reduce her on-screen appearances.

Park explained, “I have been actively working on becoming a producer so that I can be the boss of my own acting career and have freedom and autonomy. Those dreams are slowly coming to fruition, and it has been years of blood, sweat, and tears. I’ve fallen down and heaved myself back up more times than I can count.”

Park further added, “It has not been an easy road, but for the first time in my life I feel TRULY empowered. I’ve learned to stand up to people who are deemed to have more status and expertise and have gained their respect in doing so. I have proven my creative and intellectual prowess much to their surprise.” She continued, “I want to tell the stories I want to tell. I am not just an actor. I am a storyteller.”

Based on her statement, audiences may see Park take on a different role within the industry going forward.
