Heather Burns expresses immense excitement about the prospect of creating a third Miss Congeniality film.
The 50-year-old talented actress, widely recognized for her portrayal of Cheryl Frasier in the iconic 2000 movie and its 2005 follow-up, shared her heartfelt sentiments regarding this potential sequel during a recent interview.
“Oh God, I would love it. That was one of the best experiences of my life. It was so much fun making both of those films,” she joyfully revealed to People while attending the esteemed 2025 Tribeca Film Festival.

“I’m actually here with one of the other actresses. We have been friends since the first one. Melissa De Sousa, who portrayed Miss New York, is my date tonight, which is wonderful. I made lifelong friends working alongside Sandra Bullock. It’s just a dream come true. So yes, if there’s a chance for a third film, I would jump at it. It would be an incredible experience,” she enthusiastically added.
Heather also elaborated on her enduring relationship with Sandra.
“I definitely sent her a heartfelt congratulations when she won her Oscar, which was probably the last time we had close contact,” she noted, referring to Sandra‘s remarkable 2010 Academy Award win for her outstanding performance in The Blind Side.
