President Trump Has Been Touched By God, Says Todd Chrisley

Estimated Reading Duration: 3 minutes

In a significant media moment, Todd and Julie Chrisley recently engaged in their first joint interview with Fox News since their release from prison, which came after receiving pardons from President Donald Trump. The couple, known for their appearances on the USA Network, faced lengthy prison sentences due to convictions in 2022 for serious charges including fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy to defraud the United States, raising questions about their character and integrity.

However, let’s set aside those serious allegations for a moment.

The previous convictions may paint a negative picture of the couple, but that isn’t the primary focus of this discussion.

During their interview, Todd and Julie were joined by their children, Savannah and Grayson, and they spoke with Lara Trump in a sit-down format where Todd went so far as to draw a comparison between Trump and divine intervention. He expressed his gratitude, stating, “We owe thanks to God. God touched President Trump’s heart. God led the people to advocate for us. I’m grateful because every night I prayed for God to return me home to my wife and children. And he did that, so I’m grateful.”

There seems to be some ambiguity surrounding who exactly advocated for the couple aside from their daughter, Savannah, which raises further questions about the support network they claim to have had.

Savannah has publicly denied any allegations that she might have exchanged sexual favors for her parents’ pardons, which adds a layer of complexity to the narrative surrounding their release.

But it’s hard to believe that divine intervention played a role in their legal situation, isn’t it?

Julie Chrisley shared her emotional response upon learning about the pardon from her daughter. “She said, ‘He did it! He signed it!’ and I just started crying,” Julie recounted, emphasizing her overwhelming joy. She recalled hanging up the phone and proclaiming to those around her, “I’m getting out of here!” This moment highlights the relief and excitement that came with the unexpected news of their release.

Throughout their time on Chrisley Knows Best, a popular reality show that aired for 10 seasons beginning in 2014, Todd and Julie presented themselves as dedicated, hardworking, and devout real estate moguls. However, their narrative took a sharp turn when they were convicted of defrauding banks to the tune of over $36 million approximately three years ago, a revelation that shocked many fans of the show.

During a press conference held in late May, Todd Chrisley expressed his deep gratitude, saying, “I want to thank first and foremost my Lord and Savior, because that’s who got me through it.” He elaborated on the emotional struggles of witnessing a child fight through tough circumstances, stating, “It’s a double-edged sword; it’s a blessing and then your heart breaks because your child has been placed in that position.”

“I will always be grateful to [Savannah] from the bottom of my heart,” he concluded, reinforcing the sentiment of appreciation that permeates his statements.

Interestingly, Savannah Chrisley also made headlines last year when she spoke at the Republican National Convention. She has actively sought support from Donald Trump, likely offering some form of assistance in exchange for her parents’ pardons, which adds a layer of intrigue to their story.

Looking ahead, Todd and Julie are set to host their own podcast and participate in a new reality series featuring their children. This move is unsurprising given their history in the entertainment industry.

“I think the biggest misconception right now is that I either paid for a pardon or slept for a pardon,” Savannah stated during the news conference, addressing the rumors surrounding their release. She further added, “People think, ‘Oh, you’re a celebrity, you’re white, you have money,’ that we somehow had an advantage, but we didn’t.”

“I had to fight, and I was relentless, and that’s how it happened. Finally, people listened,” she concluded, emphasizing the struggle they endured and the effort it took to achieve their current situation.
