Princess Märtha Louise of Norway Addresses Allegations She’s in a “Lavender Marriage”
Princess Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett are showcasing their romance.
Days after the Princess of Norway and her husband dismissed claims that they were involved in a “lavender marriage”—or a union of heterosexual spouses to conceal their true sexual orientation—they shared a glimpse into their genuinely romantic summer together.
In a video the couple shared on Instagram in a joint Oct. 10 post, they posed in sweet selfies while also flaunting their outings with Martha’s daughters Maud, 22, Leah, 19, and Emma, 16—whom she shares with ex Ari Behn, who passed away in 2019, two years after the former couple separated.
The family appeared to enjoy a summer filled with outdoor activities, with pictures showing them appreciating beautiful waterfalls, sunsets, and waterside leisure time. Alongside the sweet post, Martha wrote, “Missing summer!”
Martha and Durek’s insight into their private world comes just days after they refuted speculation they were in a “lavender marriage” following their appearance on Netflix’s Rebel Royals: An Unlikely Love Story.
