When Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger‘s children do start watching movies, their dad’s body of work should at least keep them busy for a while.
“There’s gonna be a season, they’re gonna realize their dad is really cool,” Chris quipped on TODAY. “They haven’t realized it yet, but one day.”
And once Lyla, 5, Eloise, 3, and Ford, 16 months, have exhausted the kid-friendly shelf of their father’s filmography—getting even more stacked with the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie—then they’ve got their grandfather’s movies to discover…eventually.
“Katherine is very old-school when it comes to screens and technology and all of that stuff,” Chris explained. “So, we’re waiting.”
But the actor’s 13-year-old son Jack, with ex-wife Anna Faris, went with him to Tokyo while he was promoting his Super Mario Bros. sequel and finds his dad’s PG offerings “pretty cool.”
Which, in turn, has inspired Chris to make more quality family fare because “at the same time as wanting to make movies that would entertain my kids,” he told Men’s Journal, “I’m also thinking about creating movies that are merciful on the parents.”
In the meantime, he and Katherine are keeping their little ones busy with lots of parks and rec.
