John and Amy’s commitment to speak out about their family’s devastating tragedy, in the hopes it prevents similar incidents from occurring in the future, really spoke to Camilla.
“When the subject about domestic abuse came up, and suddenly you hear a story like John and Amy’s,” she told them, “it’s something that I feel very strongly about.”
For her part, Amy commended Camilla for speaking out, as she noted, “It takes a lot to share these things because every woman has a story.”
In January, more than six months after Carol, Hannah and Louise were killed in a crossbow attack at their family’s Hertfordshire, England, home in June 2024, Kyle Clifford pleaded guilty to the murders. He was sentenced to life in prison in March.
Amy and John, meanwhile, are remembering their late loved ones for how they lived rather than how they died.
“I think it’s really important to remember they had a sad death,” Amy emphasized, “but they did not have a sad life… their life was full of so much love and joy and happiness and fun.”
